KurdishMom0607's Thoughts
By KurdishMom0607I don’t know why I’ve been craving bananas and dates these last few days (yeah, they’re really good for me and the baby, but they are all I want to eat!)
I wouldn’t call this a smoothie, more like a thick milk.
Since we’ve had a small shortage of raw almonds in the market, I gave in and used cow’s milk. I’m sure it would have been tastier with nut milk though.
You can also add cinnamon if you like, but I forgot.
This filled me right up and baby was even bouncier (is that a word?) after I finished. I guess she liked it too.
This is how I did it because my blender is a tad on the weak side. If you got a Vitamix, you can just throw it all in and enjoy it faster.

Hi Kmom! I think bananas are one of the best things you can eat but I am a little worried about you. Are you able to eat soups that don't have any sweet fruits in them?

Looks like a super tasty recipe, but WHY is cow's milk listed in the ingredients? I thought this was a raw VEGAN recipe forum?

I make these as treats, sometimes add raw honey and spinach. How lovely of you to post this. The name is by far almost as good as the taste!

I make banana mylk all the time with just bananas, agave nectar or dates (when I have them) and water. I doubt there would be much taste difference, if any, without milk. It's quick, easy and great tasting.

I made some more tonight for everyone to break their fast with... I added cinnamon this time and it was way better with it than without. I doubled the recipe and added a teaspoon of cinnamon. Everyone thought it was great..
