Since Larabars are raw and 100% fruit (and nuts), this recipe is easy to make! These bars are so yummy, and they’re great for taking with you to work! If you want, you can refrigerate them to make them easier to take with you. The credit for this recipe does not go to me, but I don’t remember where I found it--sorry!

I just went to Larabar's website and they have all their ingredients listed you could easily reverse engineer all their bars if you want to make them at home.

The joy of making your own food is the experimentation!! I think you can easily substitute dates/raisins/figs/prunes seeing as they fairly similar and all are used a a sweeter/binder in alot of recipes.

I wonder how they would be with raisins or figs other than dates?

A wonderful snack for traveling. I have never eaten a Larabar, but this website gives homemade lara-type bars with interesting combinations if you are interested: http://bunnyfoot.blogspot.com/2006/02/homemade-lara-type-bars.html

Interesting! I always thought that larabars were somehow dehydrated, so I never bothered trying to replicate them. I will try this recipe though!!
