Mixing melon with other foods is supposed to be hard on the digestive system due to their powerful digestive properties- but sometimes its so good mixed with other things!!!

Chinacatsunflower, melons don't contain "powerful digestive properties" - perhaps you're thinking of the proteolytic enzymes in pineapple and papaya? In Dennis Nelson's "Food Combining Made Simple" it states: Melons comprise a special category of fruits in reference to food combining. Since these fruits decompose very quickly, even faster than other fruits, they should be eaten as a melon meal, unmixed with other fruits. Eaten in this manner, they are quickly passed from the stomach and into the intestine. The gastric distress that some people notice due to eating melons as a dessert may be alleviated by observing the rule to eat melons alone." Personally, I find that adding them to smoothies like this one presents no problem.
