A Community Recipe by Lucy
I was missing one of my favorite childhood sweets from my country of Brazil, and I got to make a raw one of it. Cocada comes from the Portuguese word for "coco" (coconut). Here is the recipe for the white raw version. Sometimes black ones are fried coconut with sugar. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Lucy, does the agave have to be blue agave? I just bought a whole large bottle but it isn't blue. Also would coconut butter sub for the dried coconut?

I tried to make it and it turn out too wet, I used fresh coconut that I had left from my cashew milkshake. Its still very good though and will make an awsome topping for my "coco blueberry pie"! thanks

Is there much difference in taste between black agave and blue. Blue is what I have, and I haven't seen black in my hfs.
