Yield
Serves 1-2
Ingredients
1 avocado
2 tablespoons cacao powder (or finely ground cacao nibs)
6 Medjool dates (pitted--use up to 12, depending on how sweet you want it)
Water (just enough to keep everything moving in the blender)
Recipe Directions
1. Put about 1/4 cup of water in Vitamix or other high power blender. Then put in the avocado and blend slowly until nice and creamy.
2. Blend in cacao powder and dates, adding extra water as needed to keep things moving.
3. Add more dates if needed to adjust sweetness. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Luv-2B-raw's Thoughts
By luv-2B-rawThis is so amazing! It makes an incredible pudding by itself.
Or put it in a nut and date crust for a quick, easy, and delicious chocolate pie like in the picture.

i did not have any dates (gotta get some!) so I used agave instead. I have quite a sweet tooth so I used about 4-5 tablespoons of it. but it satisfied that sweet tooth!

Easy Chocolate Pudding
Delicious. I used 8 dates and coconut water instead of plain water. I was quite sceptical but was pleasantly surprised at how good this is.

I'm glad that the pudding worked out so well for you, Jasmine. What will you make next in the raw world? :)

Easy Chocolate Pudding
OOOHH! SO! GOOD! I ate it straight out of the blender. I just started walking the raw path and found this recipe 4 days in. It will help keep me on the path a little longer because it definitlely satisified my chocolate/sugar craving. I used coconut water and a very ripe avocado last night. Tried it today with a less ripe avocado and it's still good but not quite as creamy.

Easy Chocolate Pudding
This is delicious. Mine came out a little chunky from the dates. I used my vitamix, it just didn't have enough volume to get things going enough....maybe it would be better if I doubled the batch. The creaminess of it is just out of this world. Thanks for posting it.

i actually got this recipe from the naked chocolate book by David Wolfe. I added a little almond milk instead of water, and agave syrup instead of dates. i ate it with fresh apples. It is soooooooooo good!!!! i can't believe that something can be that tasty and healthy at the same time!!!! thanks nature

frangipanni - I usually make the pastry base with pecans or walnuts (their oiliness resembles a pastry the most - but you can use other nuts too with or without the addition of coconut oil for the oiliness). for 4-5 small servings I use 2 cups of nuts (ground up in a food processor), 6 dates (added to the nuts & ground up), and 2 Tablespoons of coconut flakes (added to the nuts & dates & processed a few seconds to combine). Then just press it into a bowl & add the pudding! I get my coconut from wilderness family naturals dot com, because it is low temperature dried, so truly raw. The kind from the healthfood store has been heated too hot & makes my teeth hurt.

I can't believe i just made this - i've always been against using my avacado's for anything other than eating and making guacamole :) But, i just made this (in the fridge chilling as i type) and i actually liked it! I only used 1/2 an avacado cuz i didn't want to waste any. 1/2 an avacado is probably close to a single serving! I used 2 dates, a squirt of agave, carob powder and a lot of water (probably a 1/2 cup). It is very good! Thanks for posting! Oh, and i had some Chocolate Extract on hand so i put some of that in there too. I can't believe how close this tastes to the real thing! Wow! If only Jell-O knew about this :)

I found I needed to add about 3/4 cups of water and some almond milk to get this right. Next time I'll try the FP instead of the Vita-mix. Oh, we also threw in some agave syrup.
