I thought you couldn't eat raw chestnuts because they were so bitter/ hard to digest:?
How do you peel them when they're raw? I've had enough trouble with it once they are steamed. (stabbed myself more times than I can count. lol)

yes chestnuts needs to be pilled before soaking. Tocotrienols is raw rice bran whole-food. it is a full protein with numberous vitamins, minerals and such as well as vitaimin E and B source. in recepies it can be added to salads, drinks, soups, pattes… it also adds hint of sweetness and make it more creamier

Ok, what is "Tocotrienols"?? And do you peel the chestnuts - if so, before or after soaking?

And what about Uma plum paste? I looked for it in the Internet, trying to understand what it is, but could find nothing

i got them prepeeled in dry form and thus soaked for two days. it makes nice flavor and smooth texture. also after straining - it came out almost as nut milk, where solids i used as a body scrub
