Hi Omshanti - I'd love to try this sometime. Could I use anything else in lieu of the celery? I just can't seem to get myself to like it :-)

my grannys chow chow recipe was a secret, but i believe she used her bread and butter pickle spices on the corn with some vinegar and minced hot peppers then she let it "set" until it pickled about a month or so...

Do you have a recipe or guidelines for Chow Chow. I guess is could be very naturally raw, huh? Thanks,I love black eyed peas and collards-any way I can get them.

hey WE how you been? these things taste fresh and not to " sprouty" like other legumes. i sprouted for 24 hours but probobly could have done less... have you tried sunchokes yet? i use them in place of jicama for my "potatoe" salad( less juicy)!
thanks angel have fun with it..my measurments are approximate cause im always adding and tasteing.....i love soul food too!

That sounds great! I never would have thought of sprouting black eyed peas! Do they taste fresh or starchy? How long did you sprout them for? I had collard rolls yesterday too!- Except mine had grated jicama, yellow pepper, carrot, avocado and red onion. Happy New Year Omshanti!
