I use sun-dried tomatoes that have been pre-soaked in olive oil. (If you're using dry sun-dried tomatoes then you may want to add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the recipe.)
This raw mock salmon salad pate is great served on a green salad with a small splash of apple cider vinegar as a dressing.
This recipe can be eaten right away, but it also keeps well in the fridge.

Anyone who knows???

Hi Annet! I definitely recommend using sun-dried tomatoes that have already been soaked in oil.
But if you can't get those, then you can use dry sun-dried tomatoes and add some additional oil to the recipe. (No need to soak.)

hi- this may be a really stupid question but...do I use the whole sunflower seed (hull included) or was I supposed to buy just the kernels...?

Hi Emma! You can buy them in the shell, then shell them, or buy them shelled already (much easier!). Measurement is for shelled! :)

I am allergic to tomatoes ? Any suggestions for this recipe and other recipes that have tomatoes in them

Hi Sash,
It definitely depends on the recipe... but in this recipe you could use more red pepper instead of the tomatoes.
Hope this helps!

Just stumbled across your site & it's great. I have some sun dried tomatoes they are not in any oil just dried, do I need to soak them in oil first for this recipe? Thanks

I enjoyed the paté very much. I added dehydrated seaweed to add to the seafood flavor. It was delicious.
