Yield
Serves 2
Ingredients
1 cup broad beans
1 tomato
2 cloves garlic
a handful of parsley or coriander
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp salt or more to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
a splash of ACV (cider vinegar)
warm water to blend
Recipe Directions
Place the tomato in the blender first, then add everything else. Use about 1/2 cup of warm water to start blending adding a little more if you need it. It’s helpful to use the plunger thingy with the vitamix (what’s that called again?) Enjoy! You can basically use the same recipe using peas or sprouted lentils/chickpeas.
Sweetpea's Thoughts
By sweetpeaA nice filling side dish to add to salads. A good source of protein without seeds/nuts.

That looks really cool. I have a naive question... If I used peas can they be of the frozen variety. Do they need to ne sprouted? Clearly I am sprouting novice. Thx.

Yes, you could use frozen peas if you can't get any fresh ones at the supermarket.
Broad beans are the ones that come in the spongy protective pods. You usually get about 3 or 4 in one bean pod. They are light green and are embryo shaped.
We have just harvested a whole load of them and so I'm using them to make pate and such like.

Um....pretty sure frozen veggies are cooked before frozen. Blanched. They break down really quickly in the freezer other wise.
