What type of sprouter? Are we talking about a jar with a lid that has holes in it, or are you talking about an actual sprouter (like you would use for wheat grass).
Step 1: Soak seeds covered in filtered water overnight.
Step 2: Drain out the water and rinse the seeds a few times.
Step 3: Leave the moist seeds in a large container for a few days, rinsing multiple times per day. Don’t keep them in water, but rinse them frequently (3-4 times a day)
Step 4: Rinse the sprouts right before eating or using in recipes (they should have somewhat long tails)
thank you rawkidchef you are so helpfull!
No problem d&z! Also wanted to mention you can buy sprouting jars at health food stores or just use a jar covered with mesh like cheesecloth, or spread the seeds on a mesh surface. You’ll be fine anyway.
I sometimes use a bowl or colander and just cover it with a plate. Feeding 25 people takes a lot of sprouts!
Hey lindsaylou, you feed 25 people? Wow! All on raw food? That’s great, tell us more please :))
