I would say it’s pretty obvious, but buy a lot more vegetables and fruits than you’re used to. Don’t expect to eat a few slices of cucumber or tomatoe on a salad and think that’s going to hold you. You’re going to need to eat several cuc’s, tomatoes, avocados, apples, oranges, etc. to feel full. You will probably need to eat more often so take sliced fruit or veges with you as well as gorp- nuts and dried fruits.
You’ll probably be thirsty- Get some cold bottles of water ready, canteens, or togo cups. It will be better for the kids too if they can snack on orange wedges with you, pineapple, grapes, bananas, etc. You could really be saving your kids lives by teaching them how to be healthier now!
